Zone J: Chrysanthemum of the Tidal Realm

[Artwork Specs] Height approx. 5–6m.

The top "Jin Wu Yuan Turtle" is inspired by Penghu's basalt and marine culture, its name a homophone for "Truly Destined" in Taiwanese; the golden-orange chrysanthemums blooming high above resemble the rising sun over the sea, symbolizing hope, abundance, and blessings. The lighthouse symbolizes watchfulness and guidance, accompanying people as they find their way through the rising and falling tides. The main structure is centered on Penghu's turtle-begging culture, integrating the island's landscape, flora and fauna, ship-like structures, and marine light-and-shadow imagery to display Penghu's natural energy and human charm. The light body combines 3D printing and eco-friendly recycled wood, conveying the island spirit of sustainability and hope.

This artwork was originally featured at the 2026 Taiwan Lantern Festival and has been relocated here for exhibition.
