Inspired by Penghu's famous mysterious relic, the "Hujing Sunken City"—the legendary ancient city submerged deep in the ocean—slowly rises onto the land as the wind stirs. The six lighthouses of Penghu stand on either side, acting as guides and protectors for the children of the sea, quietly illuminating the direction of navigation and memory; the octopus transforms into a marine musician, holding an instrument to play rhythms from the deep sea. An island legend unique to Penghu is about to unfold.
Organized by the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration of the Tourism Administration, MOTC, the 9th Penghu Music & Light Festival embraces this year's "Island Legends" theme—uniting music, dazzling light art, travel experiences, and amazing special offers to create the ultimate autumn tourism experience.
The stage performances will run from September 12 to October 3, featuring concerts at Guanyin Pavilion for four consecutive Saturdays. An extra concert will also be held on September 13 (Sunday), bringing a total of five superstar concerts! Come enjoy 16 groups of incredibly talented and popular artists rotating through the stage—weekly surprises and nonstop energy!
