The official lineup for the "2026 Penghu Music Festival " has been unveiled. Running for four consecutive weekends starting September 12, the festival will bring five lively concerts to Guanyinting in Penghu, gathering a powerhouse roster of performers who will take the stage in turn — including SUPER JUNIOR's KYUHYUN, Crowd Lu, TRASH, Bestards, Cosmos People, Amazing Show, NINE ONE ONE, OSN, Xinya An, NICKTHEREAL, and PAPUN BAND. Among them, Bestards — invited to perform for the third year running — and PAPUN BAND, returning for a second time, both shared in advance their excitement about revisiting Penghu, while laughingly revealing the wishes they most hope to fulfill before their shows.
Reaching a whole new scale this year, the "2026 Penghu Music Festival " features five themed concerts across four consecutive weekends. The festivities officially kick off on September 12 with the "SING Opening Night," led by SUPER JUNIOR's KYUHYUN, Crowd Lu, and TRASH. On September 13, the "Sound Voyage Night" carries the momentum forward with performances by Bestards, Cosmos People, and PALLAS. September 19 brings the "Tipsy Beat Night," gathering Amazing Show, Mango Jump, The Chairs, and Who Cares; while September 26's "Sound Wave Night" sees NINE ONE ONE, OSN, and PIZZALI heat up the crowd. Finally, on October 3, the "Heatwave Groove Night" features Xinya An, NICKTHEREAL, and PAPUN BAND as the closing headliners, bringing this year's event to its climax.
Invited to perform for the third consecutive year, Bestards already feel right at home in Penghu. Drummer Kepei joked, "The wind is always incredibly strong every time we come — it truly lives up to the name 'Wind-Chasing.' It's a test for us, and a test for our hair stylist too!" — a line that instantly cracked everyone up. Beyond their vivid memories of the sea breeze, the band members can't forget Penghu's food either. Guitarist A-Zhe said it's a real joy to have savored Penghu's seafood three years in a row, while Jianting can't stop thinking about the cactus ice cream. Lead vocalist Jiding also had a message for fans: "The lineup is amazing every single year — come join us in Penghu to chase the wind and chase the stars!" The band is looking forward to enjoying this island music feast together with everyone.
Also set to appear at the "Sound Voyage Night," Cosmos People are equally fond of Penghu. They described the island's sea breeze as "so pleasant," and shared, "Every time we perform in Penghu, there's this really chill vibe. This year, everyone's welcome to come to Penghu and hear our new songs!" Cosmos People recently appeared as guests at a Mayday concert, where they surprised fans by announcing that their new album will drop in September — sending anticipation soaring. As it happens, Bestards have become fans of Cosmos People too. They laughingly revealed, "Our guitarist A-Zhe absolutely loves Cosmos People's new song — he's always playing 'Nobody's Like Me' during rehearsals. We can't wait to hear these veterans perform this incredible track live." The rare shared stage between the two bands has sparked plenty of buzz.
As for closing headliners PAPUN BAND, this marks their second time being invited to the Penghu Wind-Chasing Music & Light Festival. Recalling their first appearance, the members had once jokingly worried that "the strong winds might have an effect on us now that we've slimmed down," but this time they quipped with a smile, "We might not fear the wind this year — after all, we've been getting more and more 'substantial.'" Beyond looking forward to taking the Penghu stage again, they can't forget the local food either, exclaiming, "When the weather's great, your mood is great too — it really feels like a vacation. The seafood especially is all incredibly delicious, well worth hopping on a plane for." Having failed to fulfill their wish of catching small squid after their last show, they cheekily asked this time, "Is there any already caught and grilled that we can just eat right away?" — showcasing their signature sense of humor. On top of that, sharing the stage with Xinya An has the band members especially thrilled. They revealed, "Our drummer Laowai has been a huge fan of Xinya An since his college days — he'd love the chance to share a stage with his goddess!"
Growing in scale year after year, the Penghu Wind-Chasing Music & Light Festival once again blends island tourism, live music, and light art this year. It not only brings together popular singers and bands across generations, but also connects Penghu's signature attractions and cuisine, hoping to draw even more visitors to the island. From Korean star KYUHYUN and popular bands Bestards and Cosmos People, to NINE ONE ONE, OSN, Xinya An, NICKTHEREAL, and PAPUN BAND, this star-studded lineup will accompany fans through the liveliest autumn nights over four consecutive weekends — making the 2026 Penghu Wind-Chasing Music & Light Festival one of the most anticipated large-scale music events of the second half of the year.
