2026 Penghu Music Festival Unveils Five Superstar Concerts: Connecting Music, Light, and Travel Experiences to Drive Autumn Tourism
The press conference for the 2026 Penghu Music Festival was held this afternoon (24th) at Hanaspace in Taipei, officially announcing the launch of this year's event. With Island Legends as its theme, the festival integrates four major highlights—music concerts, light art, travel experiences, and special offers—to continue strengthening Penghu's most representative autumn tourism brand. Running from September 12 to October 3, the festival will feature concerts at Penghu Guanyin Pavilion for four consecutive Saturdays, with an additional show on September 13 (Sun), bringing the total to five superstar concerts. Sixteen groups of talented and popular artists will take the stage throughout the festival.
This year's lineup is packed with stars, including South Korean artist Kyuhyun, Crowd Lu, Nick Chou, Nine One One, Bestards, TRASH, Cosmos People, OSN, and Amber An. Delivering unique musical experiences week after week, they invite visitors from across Taiwan to step into Penghu and immerse themselves in the autumn atmosphere created by sea breezes, music, and lights. Beyond music, this year's light art exhibition will run from September 12 to October 11. Inspired by "traditional legends of Penghu," the exhibition combines interactive light-and-shadow technology with artistic lighting installations to create a romantic and enchanting nighttime island experience, transforming Guanyin Pavilion into one of the most anticipated night tourism destinations this autumn.

Yan Zijie, Deputy Executive Director of the Southern Taiwan Joint Services Center, stated that the 2026 Penghu Music Festival features an impressive lineup and invites visitors from across Taiwan to experience Penghu during the autumn and winter seasons—to feel the sea breeze, enjoy live music, admire the lights, savor fresh seafood, and discover the beauty of Penghu, one of the world's most beautiful bays. Liu Meifan, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department of the Penghu County Government, also noted that according to the 2026 Traveller Review Awards announced by a leading online travel platform, Magong was ranked second among the "Most Welcoming Cities on Earth" and first among the "Most Welcoming Destinations in Taiwan." In addition to the ongoing Penghu International Fireworks Festival and the upcoming Music Festival, Penghu offers a wide range of unique activities, welcoming visitors to explore the island. Director Guo Zhenling of the Administration added that Magong's vibrant old streets, century-old temples, expansive ocean views, unique island character, and warm hospitality helped it earn recognition as a top global welcoming destination. To highlight Penghu's autumn travel appeal, the festival combines traditional lantern craftsmanship with modern interactive technology to create a signature autumn tourism brand.

The press conference also featured surprise appearances by performing artists OSN and PIZZALI. In addition to delivering exciting performances, they interacted enthusiastically with media and fans on-site, sharing their expectations and impressions of the event. To reward fans, the organizers prepared a special giveaway: 300 limited-edition gifts from performing artists will be available at each concert. Visitors who complete designated tasks at the Guanyin Pavilion service counter during the concert period will have the chance to receive these exclusive souvenirs.

To further enhance the event experience, the organizers have also launched the 2026 Penghu Autumn Frenzy. By integrating autumn tourism resources and local merchant discounts across dining, accommodation, travel, shopping, and transportation, the program offers rewards, stamp collection activities, lucky draws, and on-site giveaways, encouraging visitors to explore more of Penghu and extend their stay. In addition, a "Reserved Seats" program will be introduced for the five concerts. Visitors who purchase designated travel packages from partner agencies will have the opportunity to enjoy performances from closer viewing areas, creating an even more memorable music and travel experience.
The Administration warmly invites visitors from across Taiwan to plan an autumn trip to Penghu. Chase the wind and ride the waves by day; enjoy dazzling lights, live music, and the island's unique festival atmosphere by night. Let autumn in Penghu redefine passion, romance, and vitality—transforming the island from a beloved summer destination into one of the most anticipated autumn getaways.
