"Shihu" is a species of wild octopus unique to Penghu. Small in size, it often inhabits the intertidal zones and crevices of nearshore reefs. Excellent at camouflage, it is one of the most representative marine creatures in Penghu's waters and is deeply woven into the local food culture and memory.
Inspired by the wild octopus, this artwork transforms its flexible, dance-like movements into colorful giant tentacle installations, weaving into a rhythmic marine light corridor. Stepping into it, viewers feel as if they are entering a fantasy world beneath the intertidal zone, experiencing the octopus's way of weaving through reefs and hiding underwater, while savoring the unique charm born from the combination of Penghu's marine ecology and local food culture amid the light and shadow.
